Estudios Fronterizos (REF) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, published under a rolling pass model. Its objective is to serve as a space for the debate and dissemination of knowledge generated about borders in general, international borders, and border and cross-border regions around the world. REF publishes original articles presenting research results, theoretical analyses, or methodological proposals for the study of borders. Given the multidisciplinary nature of the field of border studies, articles are welcome that approach the subject from a disciplinary or interdisciplinary perspective within sociology, anthropology, history, geography, economics, demography, political science, and international relations. The journal is aimed at an audience of researchers and academics interested in the study of these topics.
